We loved fashion designer Roberto Cavalli’s indoor stone-wrapped pool accessorized with his famous animal prints on the chaise longues.
Ellen Pompeo, star of Grey’s Anatomy, opted for a Mediterranean-style setting at her family’s home in the Hollywood Hills.
This infinity pool in Malibu belongs to Cindy Crawford, the pool is perched high above the ocean and offers stunning views.

Take A Shower Alfresco
Outdoor showers are not only for when you’re covered in sand at the beach. More and more landlocked homeowners are discovering the luxury of showering outdoors. California architect, Howard Backen, uses his Napa Valley outdoor shower everyday. “It’s invigorating when it’s cold, it’s interesting when it’s rainy, and it’s incredibly refreshing when it’s sunny and hot,” he says. And Backen does admits that for some, “it’s also about the exhilaration of being in the backyard in the buff. Here’s what you need to know to create the outdoor shower that best suits your naked—or not-so-naked—ambition”.

The Wholesaler’s KBIS Post-Show Report
The Wholesaler‘s June issue is out and Peter Schor, Showroom Specialist named Diamond Spas one of his picks for BEST NEW BATH PRODUCTS in his K/BIS post-show report. “Diamond Spas has a complete line of stainless steel, copper, and patina copper bathtubs, lavatories, pedestal lavatories shower bases and walls, and outdoor spas. The Hawaii hillside installation that is featured was a intricate one to complete, but Diamond Spas has a lot of experience in precarious installations. From rooftops in New York City to the mountains of Aspen, Diamond Spas has seen it all.
The installation may be a bit tricky at times, but the end result is well worth the efforts! Looking at the Hawaii spa nestled into the rock, you can see why the owner chose the spot. Overlooking the ocean and the sea life, we would say he has the best seat in the house!
Diamond Spas in Hong Kong
Tom and Stephanie Bennett (Founders of Diamond Spas) ventured to Hong Kong this past Spring for a trip to see our showrooms. During their stay they were able to meet with our merchants and look into new endeavors emerging from the Asian Marketplace.
Taking in all Hong Kong has to offer, Tom and Stephanie were able to try exotic foods, peruse the farmers markets, sample foods from the food vendors and explore the big city.

Swimming:No Pain, But Lots of Gain
Swimming is a low impact activity that has multiple benefits including; increases muscle mass, burns calories and has therapeutic qualities for athletes that are recovering from surgery or injury. Swimming provides a great low impact exercise that protects joints and muscles and is easy for people who just starting an exercise routine.
The next time you dive in the pool to cool off keep a couple things in-mind; you burn the same number of calories when you leisurely swim the breaststroke as walking or jogging. For the average woman, swimming the free style stroke vigorously for 30 minutes will burn about 350 calories. A swim in the pool has the same fat-burning benefits as going to the gym, but with less stress on your body. Happy Swimming!

Diamond Spas Gets Set for NEWH Tradeshow in NYC
Diamond Spas is getting prepped to show off our new product line at the NEWH Tradeshow in NYC June 24th. NEWH members are involved in developing activities to stimulate and promote the Hospitality, Food-service, senior living and related fields. The show will highlight all the “up to the minute” products that are being seen in the industry.
Green Products are the Focus of the Festival of the Trades
Diamond Spas Sales managers Caleb Salazar and Jaime Polk will be attending this years Festival of the Trades on Thursday June 24th . Every year Colorado’s Chapter of ASID holds their Annual Festival of Trades. The Festival of Trades is a great opportunity to see what new and innovative GREEN products are out in the marketplace. This years focus will be on new sustainable green products.
An Award Winning Design Inspiration
The 2010 NKBA Design Award for Large Kitchens featured many different designs; however, our favorite was this Japanese-Influenced Kitchen. The kitchen was design by DeWitt Designer Kitchens to reflect the traditional aspects of Japanese architecture. The stunning kitchen includes Blue Bahia granite countertop and blue glass tile backsplash, distressed acacia wood flooring, copper sinks, imported Japanese hardware and shoji-like cabinet doors.
The Japanese Influenced Kitchen took second place in the NKBA 2010 Design Contest.
