The August issue of Architectural Digest features Exotic Homes from all over the world and along with the striking homes is a list of extraordinary swimming pool.  These can be found in homes and hotels across the globe.

Check out the amazing pool design, who knows maybe you’ll find some inspiration.

Where: Anantara Resort & Spa, Thailand
Designer: Landscape architect Bill Bensley
What makes it unique: The pool overlooks the jungle canopy, and because the pool is located in the Golden Triangle, the point where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand meet, it may be the only pool in the world that looks out onto three different countries.

Where: A traditional Italian casa colonica in norther Tuscany, Italy
Designer: Boston-based architect Robert Brannen and his wife, Barbara, with their daughters, Sarah and Jennie.
What makes it unique: The pool is nestled in the Apuan Alps. “We made a window opening in one of the walls so we could enjoy the view while swimming,” Sarah Brannen explains.

Where: Esperanza an Auberge resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Designer: Architect and Designer Jim Rimelspach and Landscaper George W. Girvin Associates
What makes it unique: “The goal was to create a spectacular place, reminiscent of a Mexican seaside estate, while embracing the natural surroundings,” said Jim Rimelspach.  The infinity pool’s illusion of infinity is interrupted only by the swim-up bar, and gazing out at the Sea of Cortés is the favored pastime here.
