Custom Stainless Steel Hot Tub on Deck with Vase Eco Friendly Spa by Diamond Spas

When building or buying a new home these days, “building green” or eco friendly is a word that surely you will hear from many building vendors. Although we hear it quite often in the industry we wanted to know the true definition of eco friendly building.

Wikipedia’s definition of green building (also known as green construction or sustainable building) refers to a structure and using process that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building’s life-cycle: from siting to design, construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and demolition.

Custom hot tub companies are getting in on the bandwagon and retrofitting their operations to be better stewards to the environment. If you are interested in buying an eco friendly spa with green technologies ask the hot tub vendor about its fabrication process, the materials its made from and if the product can be recycled at the end of its life cycle.

Diamond Spas has been building green since our inception in 1996. (Construction) Our entire line of products is made from recycled sheet metal. The recycled content for our stainless steel sheet metal lies between 65%-80% and our copper line comes from 95%-99% recycled sheet metal.

Production on all our products are made with a water jet technology cutting system that uses recycled water. All remaining remnant metals not used in the fabrication of our products are recirculated back into the recycling process.

(Operation and maintenance) Diamond Spas does not use chlorine in any of their finished products and recommends our clients do not do so either. Using only chlorine free technologies with the use of ultraviolet sterilizers and hydrogen peroxide, our earth conscience decision helps maintain our clients health as well as the earths. We recommend using liquid dish detergent on a clean rag to clean your hot tub on a regular basis.

(Demolition) All of Diamond Spas vessel shells are 100% recyclable at the end of its life cycle.
