Chlorine vs. Ultraviolet

Did you know that ultraviolet light can reduce chlorine rates by 99%? An ultraviolet sterilization system compared to that of a chlorine cleaning system dramatically lowers the chemical environment. The ultraviolet bulb used in UV sterilization, replaced on an annual bases, far outweighs the negative effects of chlorine in our world. Not only is it better for our environment, but the costs associated with a chlorine sterilization system far exceeds that of the ultraviolet system. The ultraviolet system is unrivaled protection against contamination.

Chlorine VS. Ultraviolet
Chlorine provides toxic byproducts, which build up in water and atmosphere–UV destroys these.

Chlorine is a slow acting disinfectant, unless concentrations are high–UV acts instantly.

Excessive chlorine is needed to overcome high organic loads–UV cuts costs by releasing the combined chlorine.

Diamond Spas is a chlorine free company. Recommended in all of our aquatic vessels is a two part system composed of an ultraviolet sterilizer and hydrogen peroxide (oxidation). Hydrogen peroxide is hydrogen and oxygen (active water). It reverts back to hydrogen and oxygen once it is spent.

Here are some other Household Uses of Hydrogen Peroxide:
Toothbrush: Soak your toothbrush in 3% hydrogen peroxide between brushings to kill bacteria and stop the passing of sickness to family members
Shower: Keep a spray bottle of 3% hydrogen peroxide in the shower for spraying down the shower to kill bacteria bugs and viruses
In the dish wash/rinse water: Add 2 ounces (or more) of 3% hydrogen peroxide to the regular washing formula to safely sanitize and eliminate the transmissions of colds and diseases.
To freshen up the kitchen: Keep a spray bottle of 3% solution of hydrogen peroxide in the kitchen. Use to wipe off counter tops and appliances. It will disinfect and give the kitchen a clean, fresh smell.
Humidifiers & steamers: Use 1 pint of 3% hydrogen peroxide to a gallon of water. This helps keep them clean too.
Laundry: Add 8 ounces of 3% hydrogen peroxide to your wash in place of bleaches.
House & Garden Plants: Put 1 ounce 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1-quart water. Water or mist down plants with this solution.
