Last week the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) announced that they are now accepting entries for the 2011 NKBA Design Competition. The annual competition is open to residential designers from across the U.S. and Canada. Entries will be judged the designers ability to incorporate technology, aesthetic design and functionality into kitchen and bathroom designs.

There are nine room categories that include; Small Kitchen, Medium Kitchen, Large Kitchen, Open Plan Kitchen, Powder Room, Small Bathroom, Large Bathroom, Master Bathroom and Showroom, which will be judged by NKBA-certified experts. Other categories include; Best Kitchen and Bathroom, Best Before & After for Kitchen and Bathroom, and Best Sustainable Kitchen and Bathroom.

Cash prizes will be awarded in amounts of up to $15,000 and the exciting results of the competition will be announced on April 26 at the NKBA’s 2011 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas. The winners will be awarded at an exclusive luncheon ceremony open only to press, top designers, and select industry leaders.
