Diamond Spas Copper Kidney Luxury Hot Tub

The number one question we get when our clients purchase their luxury hot tubs is how to take care of their investment. We believe that Diamond Spas products are like any fine piece of furniture or work of art. They must be taken care of to keep in pristine condition. When it comes to high end hot tubs , we recommend bi-monthly cleanings on stainless steel or copper.

Cleaning metal spas are very easy to maintain when comparing it to cleaning a standard composite or gunnite hot tub. The real difference is that you don’t need to buy any special chemicals. Stainless Steel hot tubs can be wiped down with a soft cloth and mild soap and water to do the everyday cleaning. If a deeper cleaning is necessary, you can use green scotch bright pads, using light pressure in circular motions. Mineral deposits are common in most city water, so if you are trying to clean hard water spots, a common kitchen vinegar on a clean cotton towel should do the trick. Avoid any harsh chemicals as they may take discolor the metal.

Unlike stainless steel, copper hot tubs naturally change over time. The oxidation and exposure to the air changes the metal giving it a patina bringing out browns and blue tones. For many, the look is glorious and old world, but some prefer the natural state of copper. For the patina look, maintenance is a basic wash with a little dish detergent and a soft cloth. If the look you desire is a shiny new copper, then more maintenance is involved. Copper cleansers such as Mauviel Copper Cleaner can be applied to the product with a soft cloth and rinsed bringing back the new shiny copper.
